This policy applies to damngoodinspection.com and all services provided by Damngood Property Inspections ("we," "us," or "our").

Information We Collect

When you book an inspection or contact us, we may collect:

• Personal Information: Name, email, phone number, property address

• Inspection Details: Property type, inspection date, service requested

• Communication Records: Messages via SMS, email, or phone

• Website Data: Browser type, IP address, pages visited, device info

• Transaction Information: Payment/billing details for your booking

How We Use Your Information

SMS/Text Messaging

Review the communication choices and notices presented when you book or contact us. Providing a phone number does not by itself authorize unrelated promotional messages.

Messages may include:

• Appointment confirmations and reminders

• Report delivery notifications

• Follow-up messages about your inspection

• Review and feedback requests

Cookies & Tracking

This website uses resources needed to display its pages, videos and reviews. The Spectora scheduler loads on the booking page and may use its own cookies or similar technologies. Google review photographs also load from Google. With your permission, we use Google Analytics and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand page visits and clicks on booking and contact links. These clicks do not confirm that an inspection was booked. Google Analytics uses cookies. Ahrefs reports aggregate traffic without cookies or persistent identifiers. Both analytics services are off until you allow them. Separately, if you allow advertising cookies, Meta Pixel shares page visits and clicks on booking, phone, text and email links with Meta for advertising measurement and personalized Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta receives page URLs, cookie identifiers and browser/device information, including IP address, and may associate activity with your Meta account. Advertising is off by default; accepting analytics does not enable it. Our tracking does not send review text, chat messages or form answers. We do not treat a click or booking-page visit as a completed booking. You can allow or decline analytics and advertising separately in Cookie preferences in the footer, and withdraw either choice there at any time. Withdrawing advertising consent stops further Pixel collection on this website and removes its first-party cookies; it does not delete data already received by Meta.

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to allow or decline analytics or change your choice later. We store that choice in your browser. Declining analytics does not prevent you from browsing or booking. The embedded scheduler has its own privacy policy and cookie practices.

How We Protect Your Info

We use reasonable security measures to protect your data.

Online scheduling

Our booking page displays DAMNGOOD’s scheduler provided by Spectora. Loading that page contacts Spectora; information submitted through the scheduler is processed through that service to handle your request. Review the information and choices shown before submitting.

Optional AI inspection assistant

When you choose to use the visitor chat, your messages are processed by our local AI service. If that service is unavailable or busy, messages may be sent to Anthropic to produce an answer. The assistant uses reviewed public information and cannot access your inspection file, email or other visitors’ conversations. AI answers may be inaccurate; confirm property-specific details with our team.

When you use chat, we save the visitor and assistant messages, timestamps, language, page path, browser information and server-observed IP address, together with contact details you submit in a callback request. We use these records for customer service, security and private daily reports to the business owner. Chat records are kept on our private server for 30 days; reports emailed to the owner and callback emails may remain in the company inbox under its retention practices. An IP address may represent a shared network or proxy and does not identify a person. We do not collect passwords, cookies or payment information for these reports. The assistant cannot retrieve this archive or other visitors’ conversations. Temporary AI conversation context still expires after 30 minutes idle or two hours. Abuse-prevention counters last up to 24 hours, callback delivery references up to 48 hours and usage-cost records up to 35 days. Anthropic’s separate processing and retention practices apply when it handles messages. Avoid entering payment details, sensitive records or unnecessary personal information into chat.

A callback request uses a separate form. Only after you agree to contact about the request and submit it do we send your entered name, phone number, optional email, selected team and request details to info@damngoodinspection.com. The request is retained in our company email system under our existing communication practices. Submitting a callback request does not book an inspection or consent to unrelated marketing.
